I had recently arrived in Xiamen and needed to rent an apartment for three months. I met Paul and within a very short time he had shown me five and I had chosen one.

The next day he met me as I now had the required funds. However after getting out of the taxi I discovered that I had not got my bag containing some of this money.

Since I could have left this at the hotel where we met we immediately backtracked and Paul quickly arranged with the hotel management that we should view the CCTV. This showed that I had left with the bag and therefore I must have left it in the taxi.

Fortunately I had retained the taxi receipt and with this Paul located the taxi at the airport and the driver confirmed that he had the bag. Shortly after this the driver delivered the bag to me at the hotel.

The lesson of course is always get a taxi receipt!!!
I am now living in the apartment and find that Paul is still available to help with such essentials as internet and the requirement of having to register one's address with the police.
I am very impressed with the service I have received from Paul.

I have been here in Xiamen for the last 14 months, for the first 12 I was in a hotel so pretty much knew the areas and in particular where i wanted to rent an apartment. I was using another agent who to be quite honest became frustrating, she would show me areas I didn't want to see and apartments where it was beyond my budget, although this had been clearly explained before our search began.

One of my work colleagues had contacted Paul and seemed really happy with the service, although I felt committed to the other agent, I became so frustrated that I gave Paul a ring, from the outset he showed me the areas I had explained I wanted to live in and nothing beyond my budget ,always negotiating with the owner for the best deal for me, within 10 days I had found a great place which I am really happy with and a few extra furnishings which Paul negotiated for me, 2 months down the track I had problems with the internet service (among other service provider problems), I rang Paul and it was all sorted within 2 days, was very impressed that he didn't wash his hands once he had found me the apartment, he speaks really good English and would have no hesitation in recommending his service to anyone. My wife and I moved to Xiamen in March of 2011. As with most things in China we were finding it extremely difficult to find an apartment on our own and even more frustrating trying to communicate with the realtors. I came across Paul's name on the web and decided to give him a call. To my surprise Paul spoke English very well. We spoke on the phone Saturday afternoon and agreed to meet on Sunday morning to sit down and discuss or requirements and budget. Later that day Paul called me to go visit some apartments that matched our criteria.

As many aspects of renting an apartment in China are much different than anywhere else we have lived Paul's experience quickly paid off. Saving us a lot of extra running around and not know what was required next.

It took about two weeks and numerous apartments later before we found the right apartment for us. Paul never complained once and always remained polite as well as positive about finding the right place. Once we did decide on the apartment Paul handled everything and got us the best possible deal. Paul was able to help arrange all our utilities (no easy task) and helped us register with the local police department.

We have kept in touch with Paul since renting our apartment and meet regularly for social events. I would highly recommend anyone moving to Xiamen and in need of an apart to contact Paul either before you arrive or just after. Regards

Waddling through the maze that is finding a suitable apartment in Xiamen can be a daunting, overwhelming, not to mention frustrating experience, especially for the foreigner. It's difficult to find an agent that truly comprehends and highly respects your preferences for housing. Thanks to a friend who previously used his services, I was able to contact Paul via his website.

His professionalism was evident almost immediately. He possesses great expertise on the challenges and pitfalls of renting an apartment here that are often unknown to the Laowai. Within a couple of hours, he recommended some apartments that were exactly what I was looking for and also within the price range we had agreed upon. At no time did I feel I was being taken advantage of or that he only cared about his commission. Even after signing for my apartment--which, by the way, is in an amazing location--he offered to help with problems that may come up when dealing with my landlord.

When I came to Xiamen on December 2010 I was completely lost. Searching on the web I found Paul and contact him immediately without expecting anything. It was a Sunday morning and only a few hours after I sent him an email he called me back.
